Multi Factor Authentication SMS notifications

UPDATE 19th Jan - We are continuing to work with Microsoft to investigate this issue; if you receive any Multi Factor Authentication notification (SMS or app notification) which was not prompted by a login attempt by you, please report this to the IT Service Desk.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE

We are aware that customers who have enabled SMS as their Multi Factor Authentication method have reported receiving several notifications in Chinese / Mandarin language over the Christmas break.

We will continue to work with Microsoft to understand the root cause of this issue, and further information will be provided here when it is available.

If you receive any Multi Factor Authentication notification (SMS or app notification) which was not prompted by a login attempt by you, please report this to the IT Service Desk.

We apologise for any inconvenience or distress that this may have caused.
