Essential cabling works from 9:00 Monday 22nd July until 17:00 Thursday 25th July

UPDATE 26/07/2024 13:30 hrs

We are pleased to confirm that the advertised campus network cabling work, impacting the buildings below, is now complete.

The work went as planned.  The built-in network resilience worked well, and no disruption was reported.

NUIT T&D staff worked with site contractors to make sure the works were carried out correctly and that suitable testing was completed. NUIT Networks monitored all was well during the works, that the diverse/resilient routing worked as per the NUIT campus network design and ensured that the network returned to its normal operating state once the physical works were complete.

Original Post:

Essential cabling works are set to be carried out from 9:00am on Monday 22 July until 17:00 on Thursday 25th July at the following buildings:

  • Urban Sciences Building
  • Edwardson Building
  • Biomedical Research Building

The work will involve removing backup network services from the buildings listed during the specified time frame and during this time there is a higher chance of disruption to University campus network services.

At the end of the maintenance period, network access will continue as normal.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
