Details:

During the maintenance period, the University's Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) service will be updated for the 2026/27 academic year.

At the beginning of the maintenance period the current AVD desktops will be set to 'drain mode' which means no new logins will be possible. However, any existing user sessions will continue until they sign off.

There will be no disruption to users during this time and anything stored in OneDrive or University network drives will remain accessible.
