Condor

Condor is a free, widely used workload management system well suited to providing large amounts of computing power over significant durations. It can be used to manage a cluster of dedicated compute nodes, or to harness spare CPU power on otherwise idle desktop workstations.

Recent applications include bioinformatics, geodesy and photogrammetry data processing, reservoir modelling, stochastic modelling of superfluids. Other applications could include data mining and rendering (e.g. "fly-through" animations).

Condor is particularly well suited for tasks where the same processing needs to be applied to many different data sets, or for sweeping through many parameter values.

We are not currently able to advise on Condor beyond the provision of a basic guide to suitability and user instructions.
