Email command overview
Users interact with the Sympa server when they send messages to lists of course, but also by sending administrative requests to the server in the form of e-mail commands. These commands can be placed in the Subject: or in the body of a message. The address that you use to send commands to the Sympa server is sympa@newcastle.ac.uk
For example :
From: "Joe Bloggs" <joe.bloggs@newcastle.ac.uk> To: sympa@newcastle.ac.uk LISTS INFO newusers REVIEW newusers QUIT
Most user commands can be abbreviated to 3 letters (eg. REV instead of REVIEW).
The commands available can be grouped according to whether the sender is a subscriber, a listowner (owner) or a moderator (editor).
