Some units within Newcastle University have a requirement for HPC (High Performance Computing). This requirement will normally be met by the University's HPC service, faculty HPC resources such as Topsy, or external services such as those listed at HPC-UK.  If your HPC needs are outside the remit of these services and it is more appropriate for you to purchase specialist hardware instead, the IT Service is able to host this equipment.

The hosting service allows you to locate your machines in a secure, climate controlled environment without your needing to install and maintain the supporting equipment.

This service is solely provision of power, cooling and access control.
