Service Description

Providing expert advice and support to colleagues to the university and its branch campuses on the design and creation of audio visual systems within new and refurbished learning and teaching spaces, to ensure that they are fit for purpose and enhance the staff and student experience.  

Features

  • Provide expert advice and support on the design and creation of audio visual systems within new and refurbished learning and teaching spaces
  • Work closely with colleagues on the strategy and planning of learning spaces refurbishment programmes, enabling communities of practice along with building capability in learning space design.
  • Engage with customers to identify their needs and ensure that these are understood within the IT Service to influence the provision of coordinated services and support

Users

Any academic unit or service that is planning to upgrade audio visual systems in learning and teaching spaces.

Service Hours

09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, excluding University closure periods.

Level of Service

Initial response to enquiries within 5 working days.

Support and Documentation

All necessary support will be given during the consultation process.

Requests must be submitted via this web form

User Responsibility

  1. Contact the IT service as early as possible with a succinct brief on requirements
  2. Ensure there is a point of contact nominated, who will be fully engaged, throughout the process

Costs

No cost associated with the consultation however the requesting academic unit or service will be responsible for equipment and services required to upgrade AV systems in teaching spaces
