The University protects it's email domains with DMARC and SPF policies, these control which third-parties are allowed to send email on behalf of the University.  The use of third-party senders without correct configuration provided by NUIT will likely result in the generated email going to recipient's spam folders or being rejected completely.

Requirements for approved third-party senders

Any third-party service must support DKIM signing of email if you wish to send email as @newcastle.ac.uk or @ncl.ac.uk.
