Adobe Licenses

Adobe has adopted a subscription only licence model for all future versions of its creative applications, which means that a subscription fee must be paid annually to ensure continued access to the applications.   There are other Adobe software applications still available on a perpetual licence; details of the most popular of these are provided below.

Adobe Creative Cloud

The Adobe creative applications are grouped together under the Adobe Creative Cloud.  These applications are only available on a subscription basis - i.e. there is an annual charge for use. Some of the popular applications included within the Creative Cloud are:

  • Adobe Photoshop: Digital images and design
  • Adobe Illustrator: Vector graphics
  • Adobe InDesign: Publishing layouts
  • Adobe Premiere Pro: Video editing
  • Adobe Dreamweaver: Web authoring
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: PDF editing
  • Adobe Lightroom:  Photo organisation and sharing
  • Adobe XD: UX design for web and mobile apps
