Send From another Mailbox (Outlook)

Classic Outlook

1. In the new mail go to the Options menu and From

  Options menu, from button

2. This will create the From button

From option showing in New mail

3. Click on the From button and select the drop down option for “Other Email Addresses…”  This will produce the “send from other email address” box.

  From Search field

5. Finally select OK again

New Outlook

As with Classic Outlook, to send from another mailbox you will need to add the From field.

1. To do this, first click on New Email.

2. Once you have done this you will open a new email and the message toolbar will appear. Within the toolbar, you will find Options. Click on Options.

3. After clicking Options, you will see an option called Show From with a tickbox next to it. Tick Show From.

4. Once Show From has been clicked the From field will appear to the right of Send in your email draft with a downward facing arrow.

5. To send from another mailbox, click the downward facing arrow to bring up a list of email addresses you can send from. From the menu you can also click Other Email Address which will allow you to manually type in the email address you wish to send from if it is not already listed.

6. Click on the email address you wish to send from and once you have constructed your email, hit Send.

Note: The functionality of New Outlook is different and is still in development. If anything doesn't work as expected or as it used to (and is essential), we recommended you toggle back to Classic Outlook.
