Mobile Broadband

Mobile Broadband allows you to connect to the internet over the Mobile Network. The university has a 1TerraByte data bundle shared across thee whole account. Your data usage will be taken from this bundle. We will monitor your usage as part of "fair usage" and contact you should you consistenly achieve high mobile data usage.  Any excess data charges identified on your sim card will be recharged to the Cost Centre you must provide as part of the ordering process. 

You can access the internet using a MiFi, which is a small box holding a vodafone sim card, and produces its own WiFi network. You can connect multiple devices to the MiFi unit.

A 4G MiFi unit costs £40.00 ex-vat

A 5G Mifi unit costs £219.00 ex-vat

You can also obtain a sim card only which you can use in devices which have in-built sim card slots.

Please download a Template IPR, get it signed by your Budget holder and Head of Service and submit it to NUIT Service desk. A ticket is raised to NUIT Telephony who wil arrange the connection for you.

(Please note: Internal Audit require NUIT to obtain authorisation to make connections to the Vodafone Corporate Account. This is done by you, as the customer, getting your Internal Purchase Requisition signed by the Head of Service and the BUdget Holder)
